Spring Fever

When you are too old for Spring Break, but need a time out from winter.

We just got back from Key West and it was a blast. I’ll take warm whether wherever I can get it. February seems as good as time as ever to leave the North and seek some Vitamin D.

Key West is the perfect place to bike around town, check out some good music & get yourself lobster rolls.

DJ’s Clamshack for lobster rolls & fries.

My favorite boutique I found there was Besame Mucho which had a really nice elevated merchandised store from everything from tea to lip balm. I brought lip balm, a bandana & a tiny plate that was inspired by what the french use to serve cocktails on with the cost on the dish. Compared to NY pricing very reasonable.

This was my first time to Key West and being a fan of the ex-pats, I have been longing to visit the Hemingway House. Try to get there when the cruise ships aren’t in so it isn’t too crowded. It was incredible and the decor was still relevant. I could have moved in as is. He had the most incredible bathrooms as pictured.

This is a list of my “10 Must Haves” to pack for a beach vacation in no specific order.

The great thing about beach vacations is there is no need for make up or fancy attire.

Moondog Cafe & Bakery for some healthy options.

Key West Yoga Sanctuary I went to a couple times last week for yoga & pilates classes. An intimate studio that is behind a shop & cafe. Overall great experience.
